360-degree Intern Experience
Wakefield Pork offers three different internships, each giving you hands-on experience in a family-owned company. Read about each of them below.
Production: A 360-Degree Intern Experience
Get hands-on experience across all areas of production—from boar stud to farrowing to wean-to-finish. Work on real production-based projects, learn industry best practices, and join company events throughout your internship.
Our interns work closely with managers, veterinarians, and department leads on exciting projects like colostrum intake studies, feed efficiency trials, production trials and product evaluations.
Social Media Internship
The Social Media Intern will have the opportunity to assist in a range of marketing initiatives within Wakefield Pork Inc such as social media campaigns, design projects, analytics tracking, writing, and work with the Human Resources Intern on various projects. Our interns are an important part of the Wakefield Pork family and get to take part in leadership activities, company specific events, an agricultural conference and more!
Human Resources Internship
The Human Resource Intern will gain real-world experience by supporting and assisting our Human Resources department. They will get the chance to work on company policies, employee surveys, develop strategies for employee engagement, and work with the Social Media Intern on various projects. Our interns are an important part of the Wakefield Pork family and have opportunities to take part in leadership activities, company specific events, an agricultural conference, and more!
